Retreat Program (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
As you begin your journey driving to Karma Kinglake, you’re soon to arrive at this beautiful weekend shared with women. Please note your accommodation details (sent to you via email directly)—this tells you which accommodation is yours and here is the information on which driveway to use:
Cottages Argyle Apple, Silver Princess, Candle Bark & Winter Lights
Please enter via the first driveway
Studios Blue Gum & The Little Barn
Please enter via the second driveway
Suite Mountain Ash
Please enter via the third driveway
Parking is available at your accommodation
An overflow car park can be found at the bottom of the main (first) driveway
If you’re coming in via St Andrews on the C746 (Heidelberg-Kinglake Road), just a gentle heads-up: it’s a stunning but narrow, unlit 13 km stretch—windy, with a cliff-face on one side and a sheer drop on the other. I love its wild landscape, but it asks for extra care, especially if you’re new to it or arriving after dark. For a smoother ride, the C724 (Healesville-Kinglake Road) is a lovely alternative.
Arrival to Karma Kinglake
Address: 6/14 Ward Street Kinglake
Welcome Home & Settling In
Take your time to arrive, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let the land at Kinglake greet you. Once you’ve found your accommodation, please make yourself truly at home. Unpack slowly, wander the peaceful grounds if you feel called, or simply rest and settle in our shared gathering space.
Your dinner is waiting for you privately in your accommodation—something nourishing and simple to heat and enjoy whenever feels right for you.
We’ll come together for our Welcome Circle at 6:00 pm in the upstairs room of the Community Centre (located at the bottom of the main driveway). This is a soft, sacred space to land together, share a little of our hearts, and open to what this retreat is ready to unfold. I ask you to please remove your shoes before entering the room.
I’ll be moving around the property throughout the afternoon saying hello and checking in—floating between connections and holding Spinal Energetics sessions for some of you. If you’d like to find me, reach out, or have any questions, my number is 0437 691 754. I’m here for you.
How you may be feeling - you’re not alone
All the feels in the lead-up—anticipation, nerves, curiosity, whatever—know you’re not alone in them. Be curious about what’s rising; all of you is welcome to show up, exactly as you are, in whatever authentic expression you’re in
What to bring
Bring what helps you feel held and present—here’s a little guide to what might come in handy.
• Your own blanket for meditation and restorative yoga in the studio
• Yoga mat, bolster, and eye pillow (unless you’ve asked us to provide them via your form)
• Walking shoes and clothes suited to the weather —boots are great for our gentle bush walk
• Cozy extras like socks, layers, or anything that makes you feel snug
• Easy-on, easy-off shoes for slipping in and out of your cottage or the gathering space
• A couple of shopping bags if you’d like to hit the local market in St Andrews on Saturday
• Your journal and pen, if you love to write or reflect
• Something for downtime—a book, music, or whatever soothes you
Spinal Energetics / Massage Appointments
Massage and Spinal Energetics appointments have been pre-booked via the online form
• If you’ve booked Massage, it’ll be in the elevated room above The Little Barn studio—head up there at your scheduled time. Please pay $100/50mins directly to Brooke (cash or eftpos)
• If you’ve booked Spinal Energetics, it’ll be in the downstairs room of the Community Centre. Please pay $100/45mins directly to me (cash or PayID or bank transfer)
WhatsApp Group Communications
To help you stay connected without needing to check your phone constantly, I encourage gentle phone boundaries over the weekend.
That said, we have a WhatsApp group ready for you (you should have access today). It’s just for sharing key updates, reminders, and any important info during the retreat. Feel free to pop in with questions if something comes up—you’re welcome to contribute whenever it feels right.
